  • Overview

    Supervises small staff of Stock/Pricing Associates to ensure that all merchandise is appropriately unpacked, stocked, priced, and shipped from the Central Warehouse. Confirms merchandise invoices.  

    Responsibilities

    • Acts as work leader for the warehouse Stock/Pricing Associates and coordinates daily work schedules to ensure accurate and timely processing merchandise received.
    • Adheres to all Company policies and regulations.
    • Advises the Merchandise Director of potential problems related to the timely and accurate handling of all merchandise.
    • Answers inquiries from GPC locations concerning merchandise availability, quantity, description, cost and vendor.
    • Coordinates the packing, pricing and shipping of merchandise to ensure minimum loss or damage.
    • Ensures the safe keeping of all merchandise from potential theft or damage. Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Reorders merchandise as required.
    • Re-prices merchandise as required.
    • Responsible for packing and shipping all purchases that guests want to ship UPS.
    • Maintains log of each purchase.

    Qualifications

    • Excellent organizational skills required.
    • Job requires ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to operate a pricing machine.
    • Must be courteous and friendly in dealing with vendors and co-workers.
    • Must have prior experience in approving invoices.
    • Must possess ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all levels of management.
    • Prior warehouse or retail experience required.

    Work Environment

    • Job requires ability to lift and move heavy cartons.
    • Job requires ability to stand and walk for approximately 75% of work time.
    • Warehouse environment.
    • Non-smoking environment.
